A view on both sides of the ship. Tracy Arm Fjord: This thirty mile fjord has considerable glacier pieces ranging thirty feet to hand-size chunks. The shoreline is spotted with waterfalls created by melting snowcaps falling from the 3,000-foot high granite walls. Trees sprout from rocky outcroppings that where carved by the receding and advancing glaciers. Land animals can be seen safely aboard. Mountain goats and seals are a common sight.
This cruise also visits the famous Glacier Bay; it is a truly a beautiful place, as the glaciers have receded, vegetation has sprung up in their wake. It is an area of constant change; only 300 years ago, you would not have been able to enter the bay, blocked by a massive glacier, which has now retreated up to 65 miles. Whales and bears may even make an appearance on your cruise so a camera or video is a must have!

We and all our luggage made it back to Florida last week. We are still digesting the wonderful time we had and all the adventures we experienced. When we are asked what was the best part, there is never a short answer, because there was not one best, it was all terrific, everyday had something or somewhere wonderful and memorable !!
