Founded by gold miners in 1848 the town of Cooper Landing started with summer panning which led to families and schools next thing you know bridges and roads to Anchorage and Seward are going through your location! Modern times turned this small gold town into a fishing haven with onlookers of breathtaking views as you cross the Kenai River teaming with fishermen and through mountain passes hoping to spot a bear on a ridge.
