Delta Junction Alaska has been referred to as "Buffalo Center" in as early as 1928 twenty-three bison were transplanted from the National Bison Range in Montana to Delta Junction area these days the free ranging bison numbers are about 375. Travelers to Delta Junction are privy to amazing views of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.
