
Annexed to the borough of Anchorage in 1975 Eagle River would be considered the 5th largest city in Alaska with over 30,000 residents. The river itself is currently opened to fishing about one day per year but that is not why people gather to this small town – it’s the closeness to nature you can get without leaving suburbia.
