What began as a colony for farmers of the Great Depression to a farm town friendly neighborhood teaming with books, arts and crafts stores, some of the best “hidden” restaurants all within this pedestrian friendly, picturesque farm town. At the edge of the Knik Glacier, Matanuska Peak, Pioneer Peak, and (45 miles away) the Matanuska Glacier you will see “Alaska at its Best”.

My wife and I honeymooned in Alaska and had the most breathtaking experience on the Prince William Sound cruise. The water was incredibly calm, and the glaciers magnificent. Dinner was also fantastic.
