Within half an hour of departing Anchorage, keep an
eye out for wildlife and magnificent views of Mt. McKinley. Weather permitting, the train will slow to allow passengers to take photos. North of Talkeetna, cross the 918-foot Hurricane Gulch trestle, 296 feet above the creek below. Have your camera ready! Travel time by Rail from Anchorage to Denali (on avg): 237 miles, 7.5 hours
