Begin your Alaska Railroad journey
to Anchorage
by
passing through a two mile tunnel from Whittier and passing Portage Glacier and
Girdwood. Continue along Turnagain Arm where Beluga whales and Dall sheep can
often be seen. As you approach Anchorage, pass through the Anchorage Coastal
Wildlife Refuge and be prepared spot migratory birds, water fowl and moose.
