Your Alaska vacation begins in the city of Fairbanks. It is a beautiful city, decorated year-round; in the summer with flowers, and in the winter with ice sculptures. As with many cities in Alaska, a great way to see Fairbanks, is to simply walk around! You can pick up a Downtown Walking Tour brochure at the visitor’s center, or just explore on your own. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Board the morning train to Denali National Park, upon arrival transfer to Denali Cabins(Included), a unique property south of the park entrance. Denali Cabins' collection of 46 cozy Cedar Cabins are spacious enough to have modern conveniences, yet still have the charm of an authentic Alaskan cabin. Explore the area's optional day tours, and enjoy a restful sleep in your private Cedar Cabin. Overnight at Denali Cabins.
After the early morning Deluxe Continental Breakfast(Included) board the bus for the Denali Backcountry Adventure, the most complete trip into Denali National Park in just one day. Enjoy the stunning landscape, while your driver/guide provides an interesting narration, and helps you search for wildlife. Have a great buffet lunch(Included) at our exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge and enjoy an afternoon activity like gold panning, or a nature walk. The return trip back to the Park entrance offers a different perspective and more opportunity for wildlife viewing. Overnight at Denali Cabins
After another complimentary Deluxe Continental Breakfast(Included), the rest of the day is free for optional activities such as a Jet Boat Safari, Rafting Tour, or Flightseeing Tour. You will depart for Anchorage in the late afternoon via motorcoach, offering a different perspective than the trip to the park on the Alaska Railroad. Arrive to Anchorage in the evening to check into your hotel. Overnight in Anchorage.
Take Alaska Railroad's Coastal Classic train to Whittier tracing the scenic Turnagain Arm, where you'll have an great chance of seeing Beluga Whales, moose, and Dall sheep. Connect with your cruise in Whittier, where your tour ends.
