This is definitely going to be your true Alaskan experience.
Itinerary
Day 01: On this day, you will board our comfortable Anchorage Denali Express Motor Coach in Anchorage. It departs downtown Anchorage at 7:30 AM from the Egan Center. Make sure you arrive about 15 minutes in advance; our on-site expediters will help you board the bus. Denali is about a 299 mile ride from Anchorage, and goes through some amazing scenery along the George Parks Highway; overlooking the Palmer Hay Flats, and passing towns like Wasilla, Willow and Cantwell. If the weather is clear, the motor coach will stop at one of the famous viewing spots, so you can see the south side of the majestic Mt. McKinley. You will arrive at Denali Cabins at around noon. If the rooms are ready, you can check in straight away. Otherwise, you can leave your luggage at the storing area at the front desk, and stretch your legs and walk about minute or two along the highway and have sumptuous lunch at Mile 299 Parks Restaurant and Tavern. At 2:30 PM, you will be picked up at Denali Cabins for the ride of your life time. You will be going on the Denali Wilderness Adventure. Traveling along old coal mine and ATV trails, your adventure begins with two breathtaking 360° overlooks that provide views of the northern flanks of the Alaska Range, Mt. Healy, Otto Lake and the surrounding Healy Valley. Wildlife is often sighted along the way. Then ride down to the creek bed, where you spend time splashing through the water. After the adventure, you will be dropped off at Denali Cabins at around 5 PM. You can take complimentary shuttle service provided by Denali Cabins, to go to the Visitor Center at the park entrance area where there are lots of restaurants for you to choose from for that hearty, and well-deserved Alaskan dinner.
Day 02: At Denali Cabins, breakfast is served from 5:30 AM till 9:00 AM. Make sure you set up your alarm for early wakeup call. After your complimentary deluxe continental breakfast, you have to be ready at the cabins by 7:00 AM for another adventure, a scenic rafting trip near the entrance of Denali National Park, Alaska; with a taste of whitewater rafting. Hold on and enjoy your introduction to rafting in Alaska. You may see moose, sheep, caribou and even bears as you raft downstream 11 miles. The most scenic portion of the Nenana River gives you thrilling, yet enjoyable rafting. A great adventure for families! You will be dropped off at Denali Cabins by 11:30 AM, at which point, you can check out from your cabin. You can take our regular shuttle service from Denali Cabins to the park entrance to have your lunch and just stroll around the park and take some mild hikes around the park entrance on your own, an opportunity to soak in as much of the park experience as possible. Please be advised though, that you have to be back at the cabins by 2:30 PM to give you enough time to situate yourself. The bus will leave Denali Cabins for Anchorage at 3:00 PM. You will have yet another opportunity to see the natural beauty along the parks highway. Your adventure ends when you arrive at Anchorage around 7:30 PM. If you are heading home that night, the motor coach can also drop you off at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage at around 8:00 PM.
