Arrive in Anchorage. Overnight in Anchorage
Travel south along the spectacular Turnagain
Arm. Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Enjoy tram ride offering spectacular views of the valley. Overnight in Girdwood at Alyeska.
Take the motorcoach to Seward. Visit the Alaska Sealife Center. Return to Girdwood. Overnight at Alyeska.
Head to Anchorage. Enjoy a tour through the historic downtown district, Lake Hood/Lake Spenard and visit the Alaska Zoo. Tonight, enjoy the Iditarod festivities at the Musher's Banquet (available to guests who reserve prior to December 1, 2010)! Overnight in Anchorage.
Travel north to the kennels of four-time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser at his Happy Trails Kennel. Return to Anchorage. Visit the Iditarod Headquarters and see first hand a replica Iditarod Trail station. Overnight in Anchorage.
This morning,
head to 4th Avenue to get a great spot at the start of the Iditarod. Watch each musher take off and enjoy other Iditarod festivities in Anchorage. Tonight, reminisce over your Alaska winter adventure at a farewell dinner. Overnight in Anchorage.
Your tour ends when you check out of your hotel. Or ask about extending the Winter Extravaganza with a post tour.
