Alaska SeaLife Center Octopus Encounter

Participants in this program will get an up-close and personal experience with the cephalopods of Alaska's waters. This special program will educate visitors on the unique anatomy and behavior of cephalopods. It includes a special behind-the-scenes tour to meet our resident octopuses. Guests will discover how it feels to have octopus suckers grab onto their hands.

During this tour, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn more about the natural history of cephalopods
• Discover interesting facts about the Giant Pacific Octopus
• Feed and interact with a Giant Pacific Octopus
• Get a sneak peek into the daily activities of an aquarist

The Alaska SeaLife Center is a non-profit marine science facility dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation and public education. The Center's research facilities and naturalistic exhibits immerse visitors in the dynamic marine ecosystems of Alaska.
