Go behind the avian exhibit with one of our avian keepers for an hour-long tour to Learn all about the SeaLife Center’s favorite diving birds, the Horned and Tufted Puffins. This special program allows visitors the unique opportunity to meet the members of the Alcid family, Alaskan seabirds that “fly” beneath the surface of the water.
This program includes a special behind-the-scenes look at the seabird aviary, the care of the birds at ASLC, and their natural history, along with a close-up of the rehabilitation, research, and education programs involving the birds. You may even be able to join the keepers in the habitat for a feeding!
The Alaska SeaLife Center is a non-profit marine science facility dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation and public education. The Center's research facilities and naturalistic exhibits immerse visitors in the dynamic marine ecosystems of Alaska.
