Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge offers a unique remote island experience in the vast expanse of Resurrection Bay, near spectacular Kenai Fjords National Park. All meals are included, and prepared by the on-island chef. Located on a privately owned parcel of land on Fox Island, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is nestled in the woods between the oceanside pebble beach and a quiet island fresh water lagoon. Getting to and from this remote lodge is half of the fun; transportation to and from the lodge is handled by cruising across the scenic Resurrection Bay. On the day of your departure, enjoy an extra hour and a half tour of Resurrection Bay, searching for whales, puffins, and other marine wildlife, before returning to Seward.
The Kenai Fjords Wilderness lodge is a wonderful place to relax, and soak in the atmosphere of this special place. You can also do a little beachcombing, or hiking around the island, and every evening a naturalist on the island leads an interpretive talk, walk or hike for lodge guests. Learn about the flora, fauna, and unique geology of Fox Island as well as the history of Kenai Fjords National Park and Fox Island, including famous prior inhabitant, Rockwell Kent.
Accommodations at the lodge consist of eight guest cabins situated on the narrow peninsula of land just south of Kenai Fjords Tours' Day Lodge. Four of these cabins are connected in one building, two facing the fresh water lagoon and two facing Resurrection Bay with ocean views. The other four cabins were built as duplexes, with water views.
All of the cabins are designated as smoke free areas.
